Palmieri Pfund Launch Campaign.

Concept sketches.✏️

The breif.

I was approached by Raphael Pfund, co-founder of Horologium, to assist with the launch of his new watch brand, Palmieri Pfund.

The brief? To create a series of concept sketches that not only highlighted key elements of the design, but also built anticipation as the project took shape.

Seen here is the first of six sketches - exploring the unique, ergonomic form created by the case and crystal.

Bracelet.

The bracelet was the next element to be revealed. Featuring 11 links across, it was designed to hug the wrist - offering maximum flexibility and comfort.

It was important to communicate this ‘slinkiness’ through the sketch.

Side.

The next sketch focused on the watch’s side profile, highlighting the sculptural form created by the case and domed crystal.

To better communicate how this shape was developed, we included construction lines within the drawing – showing how the silhouette was carefully built around the natural curve of the wrist, with ergonomics driving every decision.

Front.

The fourth sketch revealed the front profile of the watch, showcasing the case and bracelet working together as a single, unified form. This view offered the clearest look yet at the watch’s overall shape, bringing key design details into sharper focus as anticipation continued to build ahead of the full reveal.

Appliqués.

The next sketch zoomed in on one of the more intricate details of the design - the uniquely sloped appliqués. Carefully angled to follow the curve of the domed crystal, they added a subtle sense of depth and precision to the dial.

This was easily one of my favourite sketches to produce, offering a real appreciation for the kind of micro-level thinking that goes into high-quality watch design.

Dial.

The final sketch brought everything together – the full watch dial, complete with hands and appliqués in situ. It offered a clear look at the minimalist design language at the heart of the project.

With this final reveal, the community could now form a complete picture of the watch in their minds, ahead of the digital renders that would follow later.
